The brand that emanated from a small town on the longest wine route in the world, Robertson Winery, has turned 80. In celebration of this significant milestone, the company has released The Blend, a wonderful example of wine from the valley best known for its horses, wine and roses.

It’s not often that one can say that a red blend so young (2021) can satisfy the need for an easy drinking red that does not stint on flavour and credentials and yet still does not break the bank at R85..A rich union of the sumptuous blackberry fruit found in cabernet sauvignon perfectly complemented by the spice of shiraz, this wine delivers flavour in spades.

The wine is best enjoyed immediately with roast beef, guinea fowl, roast chicken, stews, lamb, venison, pasta and steak. Even better with friends.
