West Coast Tour
– meet the winemaker
The only Evita se Perron tour personally authorised by Evita herself
On this unique tour Greg Landman, Country Life’s wine writer, will take you on a delightful journey to the little town of Darling, way up on the West Coast. This tour is the only one which is personally authorized by SA’s most famous white woman Evita Bezuidenhout to take guests around her famous center of all that is slightly off beat, EVITA SE PERRON. Just that little bit provocative, but never boring, this stop will undoubtedly be the highlight of the day. On the way there we will stop at Darling Cellars and Ormonde Private Cellar for wine tasting and visit Darling Sweets.
The tour will culminate with a wine tasting and lunch at the historic Groote Post Cellar in the Darling Hills where we will meet the winemaker in person.

Durbanville Tour
– meet the winemaker
Unlock the secrets of this fascinating area
If you thought that Durbanville was that large suburb with some fancy homes on the side of the N1, think again. Let Greg Landman, Country Life’s wine writer and Eat Out Reviewer, unlock the secrets of this fascinating area which is packed with superb wine farms and great places to eat. Learn what Napoleon’s envoy, thought about the area hundreds of years ago, and why it is called Tyger Valley when no tigers have ever existed in the Cape. Sip wine in historic cellars, watch horses graze in tranquil meadows while geese fuss around, and take lunch in a converted barn brought delightfully up to date. Buy wine at cellar prices and take home the pleasure of the day. To crown it all, meet the winemaker who makes things tick.
This one day tour will include visits to De Grendel, Klein Roosboom, Altydgedacht and historic Diemersdal.

Constantia Tour
– meet the winemaker
Greg takes you to some of the most magnificent—and oldest wine estates in SA
The oldest area in the country in which wine is seriously grown, this is a short drive from the city, through leafy suburbs hugging the side of the back slopes of Table Mountain. This will soon take you to a world of historic grandeur, gorgeous avenues of old oak trees, and sweeping vistas that slope down to the ocean at False Bay.
The wines of Constantia were famous all over the world, even being drunk by Napoleon Bonaparte on exile in far away St Helena. A wine tour of the Cape would be incomplete without coming here to taste, and buy, wine. These include the famous sweet wine made from Muscat grapes ripened in the Cape sun, a national treasure.
The tour will include visits to four famous wine estates in this magnificent valley with lunch at Groot Constantia. It is obviously a full day tour and will include meeting the winemaker in person at at least one of the places visited.
