Just the ticket!!

This delicious wine, made in the same way as French champagne, is named after Desiderius Pongracz, a Hungarian count, whose influence revolutionised winemaking at the Cape in times gone by. It is made in the Cap Classique Methode and often, in blind tastings, outranks many a French Champagne.

Pinot Noir

The Rosé is made of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, a classic combination, which gives a nose of strawberries, crisp and clean.

This follows through in to a crisp full mouth feel, with traces of brioche, and a delightful long finish. Heaven with strawberries and rich mushroom risotto, but at its very best on its own as a very special aperitif.

Perfect for friends

One of SA’s most favourite bubblies, a real treat, it is also available as Blanc de Blancs, Brut, Desiderius, and Noble Nectar Demi-Sec—all fabulous—depends on your mood.
