Fairview’s 2025 Goat Run is taking place on Saturday, 11 October 2025, at the scenic Fairview Wine and Cheese Estate in Paarl, Western Cape. Marking the arrival of Spring and the Kidding Season at Fairview, this much-loved event is the perfect family day out, promising fun and fitness for a good cause.
All proceeds support Drakenstein Hospice, Daniel & Friends, and Jurie du Toit Autism Centre.
The annual event offers a variety of scenic trails for all ages and fitness levels:
–28km | 15km | 8km | 5km Trail Runs
–5km Fun Walk
-Daniel & Friends Push Forward – a special 5km for other-abled participants of all ages.
Having fun
Starting and finishing at the Goat Tower at Fairview Wine and Cheese Estate, the routes take you through Fairview’s vineyards into the natural, wilder fynbos and forest areas of Paarl Mountain – with beautiful spring scenery and spectacular views (and maybe a goat or two along the way).
Walking through the vineyards
For the more adventurous ‘goat runners’, the challenging 15km and 28km options include summiting the majestic Paarl Rock (the second largest granite outcrop in the world after Uluru in Australia), earning ‘mountain goat’ status. From the top, the sweeping panorama is breathtaking, stretching from Table Mountain and the sea in the west to the Boland Mountains in the east.

Stay for music, food stalls, Fairview and Goats Do Roam wines, locally brewed beer, and plenty of goat mischief.
The prizegiving features wonderful trophies and prizes for winners across all distances, exciting Fairview goodies spot prizes, and the generous donation of race entry proceeds to the event’s charitable beneficiaries.
