Beautiful Journey’s End in Sir Lowry’s Pass
Journey’s End Ad Infinitum Sauvignon Blanc – Semillon 2022
A play on words with Journey’s End, the name Ad Infinitum is a nod to the wine’s compelling length on the palate, which seems to go on and on to infinity. The cool sea breeze from the Atlantic Ocean lends this white Bordeaux blend complexity, elegance and a saline freshness.
The use of American oak adds subtle caramel notes as well as palate weight and mouthfeel. Although rich and succulent, silky polished tannins provide structure and an elegant lingering finish.

And while we’re on the subject of relaxing and unwinding I would recommend you have a look at William Charlton-Perkins’ debut novel “a charming story of music and love,” according to book reviewer extraordinaire Beryl Eichenberger. The book introduces us to The Society for the Veneration of Wolfgang, run by the amiable Horace, a retired opera director. It is set in the lush Natal Midlands and is a delightful and easy read. William is a well-known opera buff and “skillfully weaves a story which will hold you enthralled.” According to Beryl “I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about this remarkable composer, the instruments he wrote for, the demons that drove him, the jealousies of the court and, above all, passion. The book is gentle and memorable.”
