This wine is made to honour the memory of Pocket Power, one of the greatest racehorses in South African history, born and bred on Zandvliet on the outskirts of the Robertson Valley Wine Route.

This remarkable horse won numerous races, trophies and awards during his lifetime and was known as “The People’s Champion”, voted “Champion Horse of the Year” in 2007; 2008 & 2009.

He broke many standing records, including being the first horse in history to win 4 consecutive Queens Plate races, 3 consecutive J&B Mets & 1st ever winner of the Triple Winter Crown.

The wine itself is a delicious Shiraz-led red blend with some Grenache and Carignan–superb with rich, red meat dishes, perfect for winter, a steal at R140 at the cellar.
